Inspired :Grace stamp sets.
to make this card I embossed the ornament using Ranger Queen's Gold Embossing Powder and the Just a Note stamp set. Using Tsukineko Pico Embellishers in Love Letter and Paris Dusk, I colored in the stamp design and then used Ranger Ruby Red Stickles for an accent.
Next I die cut the word Grace and added more Pico Embellisher on the top to match the ornament color. The tag was cut from the Quilted Die Set.
The card background was made by painting the card stock with Antique Linen Distress Paint , allowing it to dry , then blending with Aged Mahogany and Ground Espresso Ink and finally stamping with a music stamp.

Dreams..Hugs and Kisses
Dreams , Hugs, and Kisses.... or a wish goodnight every night to my granddaughters who live in a faraway land.
I stained the paper using Distress Stain Stormy Sky then Distress Shaded Lilac Stain and added more to the background using Tarnished Brass and Brushed Pewter Distress Paints, My Favorite Things Tiny Star Background Stamp as well as Rubber Stamp Tapestry Twighlit Stamp Set. After this was done, I thought about another background stamp- scattered vintage clock faces. Now, I am almost positive, but I think it is a Tim Holtz stamp, purchased before I ever thought that my stamps should all be recorded somewhere by name . I still might not know better, but should.
Wendy Vecchi's blog about using Ranger White Pigment Ink and then embossing with Weathered White Embossing Powder , another Ranger product, which I highlighted with Ranger Antiquities Cobalt Embossing Powder.
I made the Tattered Lace die cut rocking horse using the Colored Crackle Technique. Using this technique made the horse look like a vintage find and I found myself wondering if a cracked enamel tehcnique would have been the better choice for it.
Wanting a ethereal effect to my tag, I knew I needed to do something to make the sentiment stand out but in a softened way, so using vellum, I die cut the overlay with a Cheery Lynn bookmark and stamped the sentiment with the Colorful Words Stamp Set by Papertrey Ink. Stamped with Stormy Sky , I colored each letter in with a Shaded Lilac Distress Marker.
Somewhere along the way I thought adding The Ton Stamps Bokeh Star stamped with Tsukineko Glacier Blue Opalite and Brilliance White Pigment Ink gave the overall effect of the tag a little luster. I used my MISTI to do this and it was SOOOOO easy!
The only thing left to decide was the placement of the horse and sentiment on the background.
After adding some grey string,....
it is all finished!

Creative Chemistry 102 Day 1
I added some embossing to the clouds after marbling the manila tag. Wait until you see the finished project below!
This is the project I made today using Distress Marbling and Colored Crackle Techniques taught by Tim Holtz and Vellum Overlay and Adhering Vellum Techniques which I learned in Clear and Sheer Online Card Classes.

God Loves You, Distress Ink and Technique
Today I wanted to begin reviewing the techniques I learned in Creative Chemistry 101. This card was made using Antique Linen, Bundled Sage, Old Paper, Pumice Stone, Tattered Rose, and Gathered Twig Distress Inks, Simon Says Stamp Twirling Tutu, Rubber Stamp Tapestry Clear Stamps,
Rubber Stamp Tapestry Brambly Rose and Summer Roses sets, My Favorite Things Cheerful Blessings sentiment stamp set, The Ton Pyrotechnic stamp set, and Papertrey Ink Rainstones. I used the Blend and Spritz Technique learned on Day 2.
To complete the card I mounted the card front on white craft foam to add a little dimension, then die cut a Spellbinders Frame Die from gold vellum paper, added organza ribbons and Rainstones to embellish the card, then mounted all of it on brown paper. I used Scotch Adhesives.

accordion pleated tag
yes, here it is , the famous, and i am sure, one and only accordion pleated tag! in the history of all the world:)

Day Nine, 9 NINE...
so, i actually completed the course today . missing is the last tag for the course, which has been drying from applying Clear Rock Candy Crackle, yes Crackle. why? well, i wondered what the other Stickles would look like using this all over technique. the extra sparkle was ok, but i really liked the effect it gave tim's damask tag better, but the background before trying it was really neat :)i used tumbled glass stain and then stamped with a dusty concord background flourish stamp by My Favorite Things. I love that stamp, it is sooo pretty. anyway, here are my day 9 tags. tada!
this tag was stamped after i accordion pleated the tag, direct to paper inked it, misted it, dried it, applied more ink to it, then stain and then stamped, then misted, then dried , then applied more ink, then misted, then dried it and then edged it.
this shows the accordion pleating after the entire inking process. fun! and different. a change from flat paper.
you might notice this tag is wrinkled. i did it on purpose after the ink was applied and misted and dried i wrinkled the soft paper until it looked the way i wanted. this tag was stamped after i accordion pleated the tag, direct to paper inked it, misted it, dried it, applied more ink to it, then stain and then stamped, then misted, then dried , then applied more ink, then misted, then dried it and then edged it.
