Delicate Vellum Overlayed Card

To make this card I stamped  a Penny Black, Inc. stamp with Memories White Dye Ink using my Misti and carefully dried it with a Darice Heat Gun. I traced each outline of the stamped image using a very fine Pergamano Stylus as well as a smaller sized Pergamano stylus on the back of the vellum.  *After the outline was traced I used  a White Generals Chalk Pencil to give a shaded look to each flower and leaf. For ease of embossing, use a sheet of wax paper on the back of your image before tracing and dip your stylus into softened wax. Your stylus should easily glide over the surface and help to prevent tearing.

* for those of you new to parchment vellum papercraft and want to explore further, I recommend checking into Pergamano Parchment Craft online.  That I am aware of there are no craft stores that carry anything even similar to what this company offers in the tools of the craft. They offer numerous instructional books and have some very beautiful patterns for tracing available as well as the multi-purpose metal grids.   If you do an Wikipedia search about parchment craft, you will learn it is a very old form of papercraft with quite a bit of interesting history involved.  

To highlight the tracing and embossing I pierced around the image and also added some piercings in various places around the image using Pergamano Piercing Tools.  I followed the same two procedures on the Stampin Up sentiment, Thinking of You. 

I again stamped the delicate vine in Ranger Potting Soil Archival Ink , drying it with the heat gun, then painting the flowers and leaves with Ranger Archival Ink in various colors for the under layer effect.

I attached the white vellum panel to the painted vellum using Clear Glue Dots behind each pierced flower center, then scored one edge and folded it to attach on a piece of white cardstock using
 Scotch Vellum Tape.  I like this tape because it adheres transparently. Cutting the edge of both sheets of vellum and the white card stock using a Spellbinders Border Die and
Scalloped Provocraft Decorative Scissors, when all was attached,  I  added another piece of white card stock to the back, overtop the folded edges to complete the card.
